original pub friendly staff comfortable bed clean room
The pub had an original style. Staff members were friendly and so were customers. My room featured a comfortable bed. The room also had a wardrobe to store my belongings.
The toilets needed more frequent checks . Cleanliness suffered.

Staff members provided friendly service. The new management team was very cute. They handled check-in efficiently despite issues with online payments, offering alternatives and understanding the situation.

The location is just off the high street. It is close to the train station and a short walk to South Bay beach. The pool table and sheltered smoking area provide additional recreational options .

I loved the location. It was easy to access. i found the room quite basic, but it had everything i needed. the beds WERE really comfy, a plus. it was quiet when we returned from the show since the pub was already closed.
the shared bathrooms and toilets needed better maintenance.

staff responded promptly to requests. They provided extra coffee and tea when asked, a great help. the staff gave clear instructions for accessing hotel amenities and were polite during interactions.

basic stay with some letdowns
peeling wallpaper broken tv
The wallpaper was peeling off in my room, it was a bit unsightly. i tried to turn on the light, but it didn't work, and i didn't see any signs! also, the tv only had sound. There was no picture, so i just sat in partial darkness.

The family room was very spacious and included a sink. I found the location convenient, near the high street. It was also a short walk to the train station (about 5 minutes).
Only one plug socket was in the room, i found it difficult to charge my phone from the bedside. The room lacked tea, coffee, and milk upon arrival. I also needed to request toilet rolls, as none were in the toilet.

simple and satisfying stay
friendly staff town centre excellent wifi clean bedding
The staff was quite friendly. the location is close to the town centre, a short walk downhill from the bus and train station. the wifi was excellent. I found it useful. the bedding was clean.
the single glazed windows did let in a bit of street noise. but it wasn't too bad.

the room was a good size. the bed had clean linens. you can borrow books from the shelves in the hallway. the room provided adequate space.
